Mexican self-defence groups challenge cartel

Operation in Apatzingan carried out with backing of government forces who have been battling the Knights Templar gang.

    Mexican vigilantes have entered the major gang-held city of Apatzingan. They are assisting government forces to clear it of the Knights Templar. The cartel has been in control of this area for years.
