Anger over US unemployment benefits cuts

An estimated 1.6 million American citizens lost their unemployment allowances after cuts by Congress this month.

Pressure is mounting on the US Congress to restore extended jobless benefits.

Nearly 1.6 million Americans lost their benefits this month alone. It is predicted that number will more than triple by the end of the year.
