Americans feel effects of 10-day partial US government shutdown with many industries and social services hit.

    The partial shutdown of the US government has now lasted 10 days, as the country's two main political parties continue to battle over how to fund the federal government.

    The shutdown is increasingly hurting Americans across the country, many of whom rely on federal jobs and social services.
