Big Apple rolls out largest cycle project in US after riding out storm of controversy that delayed launch.

    A new cycle hire system launched by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has put New Yorkers in a spin, as it has been rolled out across 300 locations.

    It was launched one year later than planned after delays and controversy put the skids on the initiative.
