    Closings of public schools in Chicago will force about 30.000 children to change schools. It is the largest number of schools to be shuttered in a single year.

    The austerity announcement by major Rahm Emanuel angered many parents, teachers and community members, who say it disproportionately affects minority neighbourhoods.
