Romney steps up Obama attacks

Republican presidential launches new offensive after being targeted by TV campaign aired by president's supporters.

In the latest development in the US presidential race, Republican candidate Mitt Romney has claimed that President Barack Obama is running a campaign of hatred.

The latest offensive is a new angle in his campaign to denigrate the president after losing ground in recent weeks.

The presidential hopeful lashed out against his political opponent after a TV campaign aired by Obama's supporters accused Romney of playing a part in the death of a woman during his time in the business sector.
