Chile miners commemorate year of freedom

President to attend service in honour of 33 miners rescued last year, as state of industry remains concern.

    One year ago the world was gripped by the drama of 33 trapped Chilean miners.

    Chilean President Sebastian Pinera is expected to attend a mass to commemorate their rescue later on Friday, but the fate of the miners and the state of the industry is still a concern.
