US Islamic centre threatened by lack of funds

Construction in New York is yet to start an year after project was launched.

    It has been nearly a year since plans to build an Islamic community centre near the World Trade Center site in New York set off controversy.

    The Park 51 project has the backing of New York's mayor and other politicians. But construction has yet to get off the ground.

    As Kristen Saloomey reports, the project is now threatened by lack of funds.
