US Republicans face off

Seven candidate hopefuls seek party nomination in debate ahead of 2012 presidential race.

    Leading US Republicans have taken part in a televised debate for the right to challenge President Barack Obama.

    The seven hopefuls are seeking their party's nomination ahead of the 2012 presidential race.

    They refrained from attacks on each other, but they hit out at Obama's economic record and his foreign policy decisions.
