Conservative politician introduces proposals to ban veils in polling stations.

    A row is brewing in Canada, after a politician introduced proposals aimed at mandating the removal of veils in polling stations.

    The private member's bill was tabled by a politician from the ruling Conservative Party. He says the law would increase transparency during elections. But critics say it fuels Islamaphobia.
