Whale carcasses are washing ashore in Argentina in what experts say is the largest number of deaths ever documented among the species. Marine biologists in Argentina are struggling to find out what has gone so wrong in the tranquil waters.

Possible causes are global warming, poisonous algae, or perhaps some kind of infectious disease.
