Zero-emission rally car electrifies Dakar

Eco-powered race car, which cost more than $1m to develop, wows crowds at Dakar rally being held in Latin America.

    Stage three of the Dakar Rally takes competitors over a rocky 657km course from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Chilecito in Argentina.

    This year's event featured a zero emission all-electric rally car, which cost more than $1m to develop.
