S Africa mobile app helps pregnant women

Time is running out on the UN’s Millennium Development Goals. One of them is reducing maternal mortality by 75 percent next year.

South Africa has been slow to reach this goal – but a new mobile phone app could help to change that.

It helps women get status updates on their pregnancy through text messages.
