Nigerians demand compensation for evictions

Tens of thousands of people say their homes were demolished by mistake by police, who however claim they own the land.

    Tens of thousands of people whose homes have been demolished by Nigerian police are demanding compensation. The police say they own the land, but those evicted say the police acted by mistake. Al Jazeera's Yvonne Ndege reports from Badagry, Nigeria.
