CAR in crisis as aid fails to materialise

There is a growing crisis in the capital Bangui, where only one week of aid supplies remain.

The UN’s children’s agency is urging the international community to help prevent a humanitarian disaster in the Central African Republic.

The UN humanitarian office says it has received just $60m of the $551m it appealed for.

Aid is needed to help up to one million displaced people, about a quarter of the population.
