Mali seeks foreign help against separatists

Nation divided over asking for military assistance from neighbouring countries.

    Mali has requested assistance from the Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) to help restore control in the country as it fights against separatists in the north.

    But Malians remain divided over the prospect of a mitary campaign led by neighbouring countries.
