Iraqi TV show producers hope to provide comfort for Ramadan

Wilayat Batikh, a popular Iraqi sketch comedy show, continues filming episodes for Ramadan during COVID-19 lockdown.

Watching TV is a popular pastime during the holy month of Ramadan, and Iraq is no exception.

It is perhaps the only custom that has remained unaffected by the curfew imposed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

And that has raised the stakes for those producing the shows.
