Northern Ireland talks effort to restore power-sharing government

The talks are aimed at getting the devolved administration based at Stormont House back up and running.

Northern Ireland‘s politicians resume talks on Tuesday aimed at restoring the devolved government that has been on hold since 2017. The sticking points include Irish language rights and same-sex marriage. But the outrage over the killing of 29-year-old journalist Lyra McKee last month has pushed the main parties into trying to reach an agreement.
