Libya fighting: Two Turkish nationals detained by Haftar’s forces
More than 340 people have been killed in the battle for the capital since fighting started about a month ago.
On Monday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called renegade commander Khalifa Haftar‘s advance towards Tripoli a plot against Libya’s people.
Ankara also announced that it backs Libya‘s UN-recognised government.
The development comes amid the detention of two Turkish nationals by forces loyal to Haftar.
Anas El Gomati, the director of Tripoli-based Sadeq Institute, joins Al Jazeera to discuss this.
