Torture allegations: Palestinians fear for prisoners

Israeli Supreme Court outlawed torture in 1999 but it allowed use of physical pressure in some cases of exceptional methods in interrogation. But critics say some of these measures amount to torture.

Israel is being accused of torturing a Palestinian prisoner.

Samer Arbeed was being questioned about an attack in the occupied West Bank, which left one Israeli dead.

Now, Arbeed’s family fears for his life.
