Facebook, Twitter grilled over foreign influence in US elections

The social media giants have been warned that new laws could be on the way to stop them from being a platform for election fraud.

US senators have questioned executives of Facebook and Twitter about foreign influence in election campaigns.

The social media giants pledged to work with the government to set new regulations that will make it harder to use them as a platform for election fraud.
