
Basque separatists’ apology fails to appease victims
ETA, one of Europe’s most-enduring and violent armed groups, has disarmed and issued in advance of its expected full dissolution in May.
Victims of the Basque separatist group, ETA, say its apology for decades of violence is not enough. More than 800 people were killed during ETA’s campaign for an independent state in northern Spain and southwest France.
It is now dissolving and giving up its weapons.
