Chinese seek to put brakes on bike-sharing
Shared bikes have become ubiquitous across China’s major cities, causing safety concerns.
The bicycle was once the only form of transport for most Chinese people. However, as personal wealth increased, the symbol of prestige was soon overtaken by cars.
Now, it is making a comeback with bike-sharing operations booming. But the return has brought new problems.
