Historic Afghanistan palace undergoes restoration

On the outskirts of the Afghan capital of Kabul, a building President Ashraf Ghani once called the “palace of abandoned dreams”, is being rebuilt.

It is hoped that the Darulaman Palace will become a showcase of the country’s aspirations after years of war.
