Cardinal Pell to appear in court on child sex abuse charges

One of the highest-ranking figures in the Roman Catholic Church will appear in an Australian court to answer to multiple counts of past sexual offences.

Cardinal George Pell, a top adviser to Pope Francis, has denied the sexual assault charges and vowed to “clear his name”.
