Analysis: Citizens pay cost of illegal spyware trade

Spyware companies may be selling military-grade surveillance equipment to governments including Iran and South Sudan, Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit has revealed.

Speaking to Al Jazeera from London, Claire Lauterbach, research officer at Privacy International, said it’s the citizens who stand to lose the most from illegal spyware trade.
