Abdel Baset al-Megrahi has been released from a Scottish jail after serving eight years of a minimum 27-year sentence for his role in the 1988 bombing of a Pan Am passenger aircraft over Lockerbie.
Washington had urged Scottish officials to keep al-Megrahi behind bars. In the bombing, 189 Americans died.
The White House, and the family members of those who died, say the release is an injustice. Nick Spicer reports.
