Nigerian police are holding spouses of Boka Haram sect members killed in fighting with the army in the country’s northern Borno state.
The death toll from fighting is said to be rising, with military officials saying that as many as 600 sect members might have been killed.
Al Jazeera’s Yvonne Ndege reports that there is fear, anger and bewilderment as to why the sect members’ spouses have been detained.
