For months the people of Pakistan’s Swat lived in distant, sweltering camps while the Taliban and the army battled it out in the scenic valley.

Although military operations continue, the government says Swat is safe enough for people to go home. In this exclusive report from the area’s main town Mingora, Al Jazeera’s Kamal Hyder says thousands are doing just that.
