The number of malnourished people in the world will hit one billion this year, says the United Nations. And as food becomes even more scarce, many are struggling to support their families.
It’s a problem particulary acute in South Africa… currently in the midst of its worst recession in 20 years. Aid agencies say the number of babies being abandoned because of the economic crisis is on the rise.
