Jacob Zuma, the leader of the African National Congress and likely to be South Africa’s next president, is suing a cartoonist for drawing him apparently preparing to rape a woman representing the country’s justice system.
The issue has raised questions over freedom of expression and Zuma’s attitude towards freedom of the press.
