The World Twenty20 in Bangladesh has showcased the best national teams in the form of the game that is financing modern-day cricket.
But the International Cricket Council is looking far beyond the traditional powerhouses as it tries to safeguard its future.
With a population of 66 million and no mass-participation summer sport, France is being seen as fertile territory for developing a strong national team and fanbase. But will the French buy it?
