Popularity of cricket and the financial gain is drawing a lot of girls to pick up the sport in this conservative nation.

Away from the men’s World Twenty20 spotlight, Bangladesh’s women’s cricket team is breaking new ground.

These women are leading a quiet revolution – just a few years ago, the team didn’t even exist. Today, they’re taking part in the women’s version of the World Twenty20.

Making the choice to play sports at a professional level isn’t an easy decision for women in Muslim-majority Bangladesh.
