Egypt has a record 10 players in 2nd round of the world event. But is the sport’s future secure in the country?

Egypt has a record 10 players in the second round of the 2014 World Championships taking place in Doha, Qatar.

The new world number one, Mohamed El Shorbagy, is from Egypt and his younger brother, Marwan, is ranked 14th.

Last month, Mohamed won the US Open title and is now trying to win the World Championships for the first time.

Six of the last eleven world champions have been from Egypt.But is the future generation going to be as effective for Egypt as the current crop of players?
