Thailand romped to a 4-1 win over Indonesia in their Group B football match of the South East Asian Games in Yangon.

Looking to win their second group match in as many outings, the Thais come out attacking on Thursday and took the lead in the second minute through Pokklaw A Nan.

It took only 17 more minutes for Thailand to double the lead when poor clearance by Indonesia allowed Adisak Kraisorn to put the ball in the back of the net.

Thailand took their two-goal advantage into the interval and Indonesia were made to pay for their sloppiness in the 51st minute when Adisak Kraisorn was fouled by Andri Ibo in the penalty area.

Praweenwat Boon Yong put the resulting spot kick past the goalkeeper to make it 3-0 and Thitiphan Puangjan fired home ten minutes before the final whistle to put the match beyond Indonesia.

Indonesia did score a consolation in stoppage time through Ibo but it was too little too late as Thailand took control of Group B with six points from two matches and move level with hosts Myanmar at the top.

Indonesia have three points and face Timor Leste next while the table toppers clash for group supremacy.
