Germany prepare for Italy showdown

Al Jazeera's Jo Gasiorowska previews the build-up as Germany prepare to take on old foes Italy in Euro 2012 semi-final.

    Three-time winners Germany are set to take on Italy in the second Euro 2012 semi-final in Warsaw on Thursday.

    Germany have looked strong in the tournament, but have not beaten Italy in 17 years, and never at a major tournament.

    Al Jazeera's Joanna Gasiorowska reports from Warsaw.
