The IAAF team visited Doha which is one of the three shortlisted cities to host the 2019 IAAF World Championships.

Doha was the last stop for the team after having already visited Barcelona and Eugene.

Qatar has already bagged the 2022 football World Cup but is under the light for corruption claims.

But the IAAF confirm those claims will not affect Doha's bid to host the 2019 championships.

Local athletes add that more youngsters will get involved in the track and field events in the country should the IAAF hand over the hosting rights for the 2019 events.
