Muslims in Paris and around France reacted to security searches with #PerquisitionnezMoi ("Raid me"). As France imposed a national state of emergency, increased raids on homes and private property raised fears of a curb in civil liberties, especially among Muslim residents.

The emergency laws allow police to search houses without a warrant, the military to deploy troops in the streets and ban large public gatherings. There have reportedly been at least 793 police raids since November 13.
