A US professor and a Native American student allegedly got into a heated exchange when it came to genocide in Native American history. 

Chiitaanibah Johnson, a student at California State University, Sacramento, told a Native American publication she was ejected from a course after she stood up against her US history professor, Maury Wiseman, for suggesting the word genocide was "too strong" to apply to Native Americans' history. She added that the professor claimed she was "hijacking" the class, and was unfairly making him sound like a racist.
