UK university students want #CopsOffCampus after police break up sit-in

Hundreds occupy University of Warwick to condemn police actions.

Hundreds of students are occupying the University of Warwick in the UK to condemn what they call excessive force used by police during a Free Education sit-in.

Details surrounding Wednesday’s incident are still unclear, but students allege the police used disproportionate force against the protesters, resulting in three arrests. In a statement, the university administration said police were called after an “unprovoked assault” on a security officer. Police said they will investigate if any formal complaints are filed.
