Hundreds of students are occupying the University of Warwick in the UK to condemn what they call excessive force used by police during a Free Education sit-in.

Details surrounding Wednesday's incident are still unclear, but students allege the police used disproportionate force against the protesters, resulting in three arrests. In a statement, the university administration said police were called after an "unprovoked assault" on a security officer. Police said they will investigate if any formal complaints are filed.
