Walmart, the United States’ largest employer, is facing protests and strikes from employees who are calling for higher wages and full-time work. The protests are taking place on Black Friday, the busy retail day after the Thanksgiving holiday when stores collect large amounts of revenue from holiday deals. Organised by OUR Walmart (Organization United for Respect at Walmart),the nationwide demonstrators demand a $15 per hour minimum wages and full-time employment that allow them to get benefits. Organisers say this year’s is their biggest strike yet.
