Discovery Channel to air man ‘eaten alive’ by anaconda
The controversial stunt received criticism from animal rights activists.
A Discovery Channel reality television show has sparked controversy after revealing it would air footage of a man being swallowed by a live anaconda. The show, appropriately titled ‘Eaten Alive’, will reportedly feature wildlife filmmaker Paul Rosolie crawling into the belly of the snake.
Discovery says Rosolie will don a “snake-proof” suit coated with pig’s blood to entice the anaconda. Some have speculated the event was a hoax, but a teaser for the special suggests it has already been filmed.
