What is the outlook for the world’s newest nation?

Is the world’s youngest nation on the brink of civil war? Clashes erupted in South Sudan mid-December after months of ethnic tension and a power struggle between President Salva Kiir and ousted Vice President Riek Machar. So far, at least 1,000 have been killed, close to 200,000 displaced and a humanitarian crisis is looming. Peace talks are underway in Ethiopia, and while both sides have agreed in principle to a ceasefire, fighting continues. What lies ahead for South Sudan? Join us at 19:30 GMT.
