Brazilian tribe vows “mass resistance”

Faced with an eviction order from what they consider to be sacred land, the Guarani-Kaiowa tribe in Brazil has vowed mass resistance “to the death” if authorities attempt to force them out.

The story of the tribe’s struggle against the Brazilian government quickly spread around the world, mostly due to a handful of headlines that claimed the Guarani-Kaiowa was planning a mass suicide.
