Tour of Soweto The Soweto cycle raceSoweto in South Africa is no stranger to world headlines.Home to scores of prominent freedom fighters it was the scene of many anti-apartheid rallies – among them the 1976 Soweto riots. Recently, the townships have again drawn international attention – only this time for a race, rather than a rally.
