Watch part two

The stories of everyday people taking to the streets in Iran despite a government crackdown have captured much of the world's attention.

For Iranians living abroad, the situation has been particularly difficult as they watch history unfold from afar, not sure what the demonstrations may bring.

On Wednesday's Riz Khan, we talk to Shohreh Aghdashloo, the Oscar-nominated Iranian actress, about the events unfolding in Iran and what hopes she has for the women of Iran.

The Riz Khan show

will also speak with Maz Jobrani, an Iranian-American actor and comedian.

We ask him why he believes it is important for Iranians around the world to speak out and where he thinks Iran is headed.

This episode of the Riz Khan show aired from Wednesday, June 24.
