On Thursday Riz speaks with the descendants of two legendary advocates of non-violence.

Martin Luther King III, the eldest son of slain American civil rights leader Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr, recently returned from a trip to Israel and the Palestinian territories, where he urged Arabs and Jews to adopt his father’s vision of equality, justice and peaceful reconciliation for all peoples in conflict areas around the world.

He is the also chairman and CEO of Realising the Dream, an organisation that aims to continue the humanitarian work began by his father.

Arun Gandhi, the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, is the founder of the K Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence in New York city.

When Arun Gandhi visited the Palestinian territories in 2004, he wanted to show the Palestinian public the advantages of waging the struggle against the Israeli occupation by non-violent methods.
