Conflict raged in Eastern Sudan for 12 years
As the world watches Darfur to the West, another deadly power struggle is playing out in Sudan's East. A peace agreement between Eastern Front rebels and the Government of Sudan ends 12 years of war in the region; but experts warn it replicates the shortcomings of the Darfur peace agreement, now in tatters.

A new peace agreement has brought a temporary respite but the Beja of Eastern Sudan are poor and have been abandoned by the government. Chris Milner went undercover for three months
to report on what could be called the other Darfur.
