Al Jazeera speaks to Dr Amesh A Adalja from John Hopkins Center for Health Security on the new coronavirus.

He put some things in perspective: "The discovery of this novel coronavirus has caused a lot of chaos primarily because it's new," he says.

"Anytime you use the word novel, that's going to be much more challenging and scary for the public to comprehend and even policymakers and politicians to comprehend."
