He has never held political office before. Now, property mogul Donald Trump will be the 45th President of the United States of America.

His election victory over Hillary Clinton is being seen as the biggest political upset in recent American history. 

Trump won seats across the rural midwest, but he also won several swing states, including Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Trump collected 276 electoral college votes, compared with Clinton's 218.

How has he managed it? And what will it mean for the United States and everyone else?
